BLOG TOUR - Kodiak's Claim by Eve Langlais

**Now Available**

"Kodiak's Claim"
by Eve Langlais

1st in a hot new paranormal romance by bestselling author Eve Langlais.

Hands full taking care of his clan, the last thing this Kodiak bear needs is a woman poking her cute little nose into his affairs. But when she refuses to back down—and shows the courage to stand up to him—he can’t resist the allure of a curvy city girl.
She’s mine. All mine.
And when a rival clan thinks to use her to force his paw, he’ll show them why you never piss off a Kodiak, or threaten what’s his.
Tammy is convinced men are all scum, even gorgeous ones like Reid Carver. She knows he’s hiding something. Something big. She just never expected a real freaking bear hid underneath all those muscles. But when the truth comes out and he tries to scare her off with a roar, she shows him not just bears have bite.

It took a few minutes for her eyes to adjust to the darkness, and when they did, she got to admire an alien landscape of snow, the surface marred in spots by snowmobile tracks. A distant light on the garage didn’t do much to illuminate the yard, the crescent moon with its wan glow off the snow doing more for visibility. Between the two sources, she had enough light to notice movement coming from the front of the house, a lumbering motion that made its way to the porch steps. Given the proximity, she had no problem recognizing the massive freaking bear that plodded up them. And she meant massive!
Oh my freaking god.
Slowly, holding her breath, she backed away from the window lest the beast spot her and decide a layer of glass wasn’t an impediment to a fresh midnight snack. The problem was, backing away meant losing her line of sight on the bear. But she was safe.I’m in the house. The bear is outside. It can’t get to me here.
Unless it decided to come in.
Her eyes widened and threatened to pop out of her head as she noted the handle to the outside door turning. At that point rationality fled, and she frantically tried to recall what her dad said to do if ever confronted by a bear.
Play dead? She doubted she could fake that, not with fear making her tremble.
Make noise? With what? Somehow shrill screaming didn’t seem like the right approach. But what if she found something noisy to bang and scare it off?
The counter behind her was pristine, but above it, on a suspended rack, hung pots and pans. A plan formed. She’d grab two and smash them together in a symphony of noise frightening the bear—who in some Darwinian feat had learned to operate doors—and hopefully bring someone with a gun running.
She managed to only unhook one large frying pan when the door creaked open—and this was just another good reason to always have the habit of locking them, city living or not. A swirling gust of snow blew in.
Shutting her eyes, snowflakes coated her lashes and when she opened them, she couldn’t make out much detail-wise about the large shape that loomed in the doorway. Didn’t matter. Her father didn’t raise a coward, and she wasn’t about to become a midnight snack without a fight. She let out a battle cry and swung.
Thwack!
“Ow!”
That didn’t sound like a bear. Oops.
Tammy backed away as the lights flicked on in the kitchen. She blinked in the sudden glare, and the crystals on her lashes melted leaving her with perfect—and unfortunate—vision. Uh-oh. She blinked some more. Licked her lips. Wet her panties. And not in fear, even if a bear of a man glowered down at her, his irritation over the lump forming on his cheekbone probably the cause.
‘Are you seriously accosting me in my home, again?”
“I thought you were a bear,” she explained feebly with a wave to the window. “I saw one on the porch, and then something opened the door. I reacted to defend myself.”
“With a frying pan?”
She shrugged. “I had to think fast.”

~ A New York Times & USA Today Bestseller
~Top 25 Amazon Bestseller
~ Top 15 Barnes & Noble Bestseller
~ #1 Amazon Paranormal Romance Bestselling Author
~ Top 10 AllRomance Bestselling Author 2013

Hello, my name is Eve. I’m a stay at home mom who writes full time in between juggling my three kids, hubby, and housework, I write really raunchy stuff–usually with werewolves lol.
Me and my puppy, Georgia.
I am a bestselling Amazon author, ranking often in their top 100 romance authors. But I’m not just popular with Kindle readers. I was one of the top ten selling authors on AllRomance for 2013 and have had numerous of my books hit the top 20 books over all on Barnes & Nobles as well.
There's me giving out books and swag. I went home empty handed :)
There’s me giving out books and swag. I went home empty handed :)
I am the first person to admit I am totally boring and lead a mundane life. Seriously. My idea of fun is shopping at our local Walmart lol. I like to play video games, cook, and read. My inspiration, hmm, I guess you could say hubby as he is a total alpha male which means I often want to club him over head with a frying pan. But, despite his ornery, ‘I-am-man’ nature, I love him dearly.
I’m writing romance, my way. I do have a twisted imagination and a sarcastic sense of humor something I like to let loose in my writing. I like strong alpha males, naked chests and werewolves. Lots of werewolves. In fact, you’ll notice most of my multi partner stories revolve around great, big, overprotective Lycans who just want to please their woman. I am also extremely partial to aliens, you know the kind who abduct their woman and then drive them insane…with pleasure of course.

Delicious dinner at a Mexican restaurant with all the IRC 2013 attendees.
My heroines, they kind of run the gamut. I have some that are shy and soft spoken, others that will kick a man in the balls and laugh. Many of them are chubby, because in my world, girls with curves ROCK! Oh and some of my heroines are a teeny tiny bit evil, but in their defense, they need love too.
Some of my work does push boundaries and cross lines. Good and evil aren’t always clear in my tales, and in some cases, I’ve stomped on well known religious ideologies. Have I mentioned my imagination is a tad bit warped?
I tend to have a lot of sexual tension in my tales because I think all torrid love affairs start with a tingle in our tummies. And when my characters do finally give in to the needs of their flesh? Well, let’s just say, you shouldn’t be reading my stuff at work. The door is wide open, explicit and hot. Really, really hot.
I love to write, and while I don’t always know what my mind is going to come up with next, I can promise it will be fun, probably humorous and most of all romantic, because I love a happily ever after.

Crossroads Cover Reveal

Crossroads a collection by Dylan Cross
Crossroads
Every so often, a book comes along that jostles its readers romantically and makes us all want to fall in love. Crossroads is not that book. This is the second collection of short, dark stories by Dylan Cross. If you're squeamish or easily offended, these tales are not for you. From a secretary in a hopeless situation, to a sexy but psychotic ex seeking closure, to a blackmailed housewife... prepare yourself for a thrill ride. Just be forewarned--this is not your mother's erotica. Crossroads excerpt
Exclusive: Crossroads contains the Dylan Cross novella "Road Trip" detailing the further misadventures of blackmailed housewife Amanda! ... he pulled her by her hair and slammed her over the hood of the car as he fumbled with his belt. "Please..." Amanda squirmed on the hood. As he drew the belt back, she covered her exposed asscheeks with her hands. "Move your hands. Put them on the hood, bitch." Then he was holding her phone and dialing it. With horror, she saw that the phone was "Calling MARK". "Please, no," she begged... he thumbed the speakerphone icon and set the phone down, just as her husband answered. "H-hi honey," Amanda forced herself to sound normal, even as Craig's hand slid up her thigh and found its way to her shaved pussy... he slid his finger inside her and began fucking her with it. She knew how dirty this was—talking to her husband on the phone while his best friend played with her pussy. Mark started speaking to someone else on his end. Craig took this opportunity to move in "for the kill," both his hands working her furiously. He leaned over and whispered, "You dirty fucking whore. Make that married pussy cum all over my fingers... Afterward, I'm going to whip your ass for being a disobedient whore..." As her husband continued talking, she bucked against Craig's fingers, her hips seemingly having a mind of their own as her orgasm overtook her... This is a must-read for fans of Amanda's Descent! crossroads   Watch for Crossroads--coming soon! Dylan Cross is an independent author of erotica titles including Amanda's Descent and Back to School. EXCERPT

Excerpt Chapter 1
Dead Men Can Walk
There was a soft rocking motion inside him, gentle at first, and then more persistent.  He was scared. His insides churned and bubbled, as though they had taken on a life of their own. He felt his stomach cave in on itself; bile rose in his throat with no outlet to escape. There was a huge pressure building inside his chest, despite the slowing rhythm of his heart and breathing. What was happening? Why did he feel like he was morphing into something else? His thoughts were there but his body was slipping out of control.

He was almost jiggling on the inside now. He couldn’t tell if it was his whole body moving rapidly, or the motion of blood surging through his veins, trying to reach all his vital organs. A sense of being invaded came over him. Angry at the intrusion that he could not define or fight, he tried once more to work his voice but this time heard a stranger’s voice.

“Relax, Collin. I’m going to take care of you now. You are coming with me.” It was the same voice that had been talking to Darius only moments ago, but now it was smooth and soothing, not a trace of menace, all charm. And it was coming from within him.

“Let’s go Collin.” A jolt of fear gripped him ever tighter. Please just let me die, he thought inwardly. I can’t do this. I don’t understand.

“Collin? What’s wrong?” the voice asked him, “I said lets go.” He was jerked upright into a sitting position, with no real help from his hands, he stood up in one sweeping motion at a ninety degree angle.

Darius let out a terrified yelp.

“Oh God. No,” he started to whimper as Collin began to walk away from the churchyard and down the sidewalk. Before he was out of sight, he stopped abruptly and turned his head back towards the church.

Although Collin had no control over his motions, he knew on a conscious level that he was smiling demonically at Darius, and slowly waving goodbye. “We’ll be back after we are healed.”  He spoke with reassurance, just like a sweet promise from mother to child. He knew he was walking away from his home where Olivia was, the town where his sister lived, where he was born. This was almost a relief. The need to see them was great, but he also knew he was not himself anymore. This thing that was moving him now, that had prevented his death, was not a good thing.

AUTHOR Bio and Links:

I was born in Chesapeake, Virginia on April 19th, 1979. I was raised within the American Indian religion and was taught great respect for the earth and all its living beings. Powwows, sweat lodges, vision quests, you name it, I’ve done it. I was the weird kid who would confront kids on the playground in elementary school when they squished a bug. I would very sincerely tell them what they were doing was morally wrong and then I would pray for the bug to come back as a butterfly in its next life.

I grew up admiring my father, Barry Weinstock, as an author. He took me around the country to different places so he could research and write his Wilderness Survival books. One of his greatest works, “The Path of Power,” was written with a great medicine man, Sunbear.

When I was twelve I started hand writing novels. My first one was two thousand pages. My dad always encouraged me and would rave about my writing. He gave me the confidence I needed to keep writing and follow my dream. My daughter, who is twelve, is currently working on her first novel. I hope to continue the legacy.

Victoria Zak lives in the sunshine state with her husband, two beautiful children, and three furry friends. Before having kids, Victoria spent fifteen years in the veterinary business and volunteered in pet rescue. "One of my most rewarding jobs was finding unwanted animals their forever homes." A writing career was the last item listed on her bucket list, until she discovered that she wanted to put her stories on paper and breathe life into her characters. Her love for Scotland, curiosity of history, and passion for romance has inspired her to write her first book, Highland Burn. "Fourteenth century Scotland was a fascinating time in history. Not only was Scotland fighting for their freedom from the English king, their own people fought each other; clan vs clan. Though being a woman of the twenty-first century, I wouldn't want to live in those unsettled times. But writing historical fiction paranormal romance allows me to escape into their world and breathe a fresh air of romance and magic into that era, which I love to do." Victoria loves to hear from her readers. You can connect with her through FB, Twitter, G+, and her website
